Suffolk Rams

Tired of using rams that do not live longer than 1 breeding season??

Uptown Farms is pleased to being using Big John for his 3rd consecutive breeding season!  In our opinion, to many rams that are winning the top shows are not showing the longevity we need to be breeding into our ewes.  Big John not only offers rugged, correct offspring, but sheep that actually outlive their show careers!!  We strongly believe in having rams that can not only show well at Louisville, but will make it home to breed ewes another season.

With the cost of feed, producers need sheep that can maintain on pasture, live longer, and raise lambs on less.  Big John’s lambs will offer you that!

(Big John X Ream 4P10)

We will also be using this RR son of Big John again this year.  His mother, Ream 4P10 comes from a line famous for producing stud bucks.  Her full sister was a class winner at NAILE for Chuck Ream as well as the mother of Chuck’s Junior Champion Ram at NAILE the following year.

We purchased 4P10 at the 2005 Ohio Suffolk Sale where she was a class winning ewe.
